The Campaign serves as an important center of gravity and convening body for dozens of organizations working together to implement the passage of ambitious federal climate policy that is centered on our goal to reduce climate pollution and accelerate the transition to clean energy and a sustainable society that support justice, jobs, improved health, and quality of life for all.

The Role
The Climate Action Campaign is seeking a Government Affairs Senior Program Manager, Administrative Action to join our Government Affairs team, which serves as a convening and strategy hub for our coalition. In this role, you will serve as the lead policy staff person working to drive our coalition's work to support the roll-out of the historic climate and justice investments in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This law included hundreds of billions in funding for clean energy, clean transportation, clean manufacturing, job creation, pollution clean-up, resilience, mitigation, and natural climate solutions. The IRA alone has the potential to reduce United States' climate emissions 40 percent by the end of the decade, putting the country within striking distance of the climate goals set by President Biden and required by science.
This is a new position that will coordinate with Government Affairs professionals at CAC and within the climate community, as well as Biden Administration staff, to support and advance work to help implement the Inflation Reduction Act as well as other climate investments and goals. Your project management and collaboration skills will be used to develop strategies and execute coalition advocacy tactics. You'll also gather information, maintain consistent and clear lines of communication, and support the Government Affairs team in planning and reporting work.

- Serve as a conduit on IRA investment efforts to CAC colleagues; identify and advise on field, communications, and advocacy work that can celebrate local grants, loans, or new projects and facilities.
- Shape and in some cases drive CAC's 'national narrative' around IRA investments. This may be through the creation of mapping tools, tickers, thermometers, or other products to showcase the Administration's progress in getting IRA investments to local communities.
Planning, Reporting, and Other Activities (20%):
- Contribute to annual and quarterly planning and goal-setting for Administrative activity.
- Track and report IWG activity (meetings, conversations, events, etc).
