(Career Progress) National Democratic Training Committee: Staff Academy NGP 8 Coach (Remote)

NDTC is hiring one consultant who specializes in NGP 8 for candidate campaigns. This consultant will be supporting NDTC's Staff Academy, which is a program designed to recruit, train, and connect new staff to paid career opportunities in Democratic politics across the country. When selecting program participants, we prioritize leaders who are women, trans and non-binary, Indigenous, and people of color. 

In this program, cohort members submit assignments for review and feedback in order to practice the skills needed to operate on Democratic campaigns. We are hiring a consultant to work with our program team to provide technical assistance and guidance on the use of NGP 8 on Democratic campaigns to our Staff Academy cohort. 

NGP 8 Coach

We are hiring an NGP Coach to support our third cohort of aspiring campaign staffers (part of our Staff Academy). The Coach will specifically:

• Facilitate 3 webinars (February 15, 16, & 17 at 7 pm CT) that provide an opportunity for trainees to practice and further engage with on-demand online trainings they are taking during the 10-week program dedicated to NGP 8
• Coach trainees in weekly Q&A sessions (office hours) via webinar (February 18 & 25 at 7pm CT) and answering questions via Slack (February 20 & 27 before 12 pm CT)
• Attend meetings with an NDTC Instructional Designer to develop a slide deck for the aforementioned webinars and supplement NGP instructional material

Qualifications: 

• At least 1 cycle of experience as a Data Director on a candidate campaign 
• Extensive knowledge of NGP 8
• Experience training others on NGP 8 or other education/training experience
• The ability to advise the execution of the following skills according to NDTC's standards:
  • Sending emails using NGP's targeted email platform
  • Structure emails using themes, reusable, and html
  • Updating NGP contact information, including activist codes, financial histories, donor bios
  • Pull various reports using NGP's Report Manager
  • Troubleshoot common NGP user errors such as issues related to email and navigation
  • Configure events, forms, targeted ad campaigns, and other NGP Online Actions

Time Expectations & Compensation:

The contract will run from January 2021 to February 2021. The rate for this role is $60/hour. The estimated number of hours for this contract is 22.
