But America's Impact is still holding a number of excellent events this August to continue our mission to make foreign policy a domestic priority this November. So please read below about these events and about ways to get involved. And stay tuned for many more great events coming up this fall. Thanks! - The America's Impact Executive Committee August 8th - America's Impact Participates in YPFP Panel Discussion on Foreign Policy in the 2012 Election How has President Obama fared on the international stage during his first term and has it had an effect on how the American electorate perceive him? What initiatives or policy proposals has Republican candidate Mitt Romney put forward that could affect the vote this November? Has foreign policy been completely overshadowed by domestic economic concerns, or do voters care about the candidates' positions on international affairs? Join Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) for an exciting panel discussion featuring three young, leading experts in politics and international relations. Jamie Fly is the Executive Director at the Foreign Policy Initiative, Michael Moschella is the National Political Director for the Truman National Security Project, and Dan Perez is the Executive Director of America's Impact. Date: Wednesday, August 8 Time: 6:30pm Location: Aspen Institute - One Dupont Circle, NW August 16th - Speaker Series with Damian Murphy, Foreign Policy Legislative Assistant to Senator Robert Casey Please join America's Impact for this exciting event where Damien Murphy, Foreign Policy Legislative Assistant to US Senator Robert P. Casey Jr. will speak to America's Impact about what he views as the most important foreign policy issues being tackled by the Senate. Write Op-Eds for America's Impact! America's Impact is excited to announce a new Op-Ed initiative to better share the informed opinions of our membership with a wider audience. We are currently designing a system through which AI members can publish op-ed articles to express their insights into issues relevant to AI's mission and goals. After we establish the format and guidelines for op-eds, we will hold a meeting of interested members to start the discussion about the shape, topics, and objectives of writing and sharing op-ed articles.
