[Unicum] Special Needs Caregiver Needed

We are a family of two seeking one caring, dependable individual to help care for my wonderful 30-year-old son.  My son is a happy, intelligent, affectionate person with special needs. He is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair for mobility, and receives nutrition through a G-tube. He enjoys spending time with people, going on walks, listening to stories and music, and engaging in fun, interactive activities. We are currently looking to fill the following position:

Schedule:

Beginning September  
Weekdays: Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: Hours 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Opportunity for additional hours (if desired), depending on Mom’s work schedule

 
What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and dependable. Experience caring for persons with special needs is strongly preferred, though we are willing to train the right person. The primary focus of this position is caring for my son. 

Responsibilities may include:
Interacting with my son

Reading books and engaging in activities
Assisting with feeding and daily care routines
Going on walks  
Visiting the community library  

Compensation: 

$18/hour - Accommodation is available if needed
