CONTRACT
Non-AEA: $1,750.00 Total

SEEKING
Six diverse comedic actors. Experience in ensemble building, improv, dance, musical instruments, and singing is a plus but not required.

PREPARATION
Please prepare a one to two-minute contemporary comedic monologue or story. You are also welcome (but not required) to prepare a song a capella (you are welcome to accompany yourself if you play an instrument) highlighting your vocal range. You might be asked to read sides at the audition.

IMPORTANT DATES

First Rehearsal: 7/30/2024
First Performance: 8/29/2024
Closing: 9/15/2024
Performance Schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 pm; Sundays at 2 pm.
Sample Rehearsal Schedule: Tuesdays through Fridays from 6 pm – 10 pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 2 pm – 6 pm. 

Synopsis: In 2024, The Melodrama will consist of four short-plays by four New Mexican playwrights. The writers will be inspired by a cast of six actors and the theme of "fire" to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the burning of Zozobra. SFP plans to partner with different community-based organizations to create a participatory theater experience to restore and build community by connecting people through performance.
