Join poets Malik Ameer Crumpler, Jeffrey "Big Homey" Banks, and John Johnson at a poetry reading and open mic of the DC Poet Project this Saturday 2-3:30. One open mic reader will be selected the winner and awarded $100 cash prize and invite to compete at the final event for a $1000 book contract. Join us as we celebrate Black History Month at the Smithsonian's Anacostia Community Museum (ACM) ACM Archivist, Jennifer Morris, shares on the Life of Anacostia resident, Percival Bryan. Attendees receive a curator-lead tour of the exhibition A Right To The City by ACM Chief Curator, Samir Meghell.
