[Unicum] Free Rockville Science Center events

Good morning,

 School has just started and I know that just like me, many of you are looking for fun, affordable events for your families. I am one of the trustees of the Rockville Science Center, and I hope that you are going to be able to take advantage at least some of our upcoming free events and one "nearly free" event. We use potential revenue from the latter to sustain our free education and outreach programs for DC area residents and make a brick and mortar, permanent Rockville Science Center facility a reality. All free programs below are held at the RSC Makerspace, second floor of the Rockville Memorial Library in Town Center.

Arduino Fun Projects September 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm (free)

RSC Presents: Temple Grandin September 7 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm ($15 - $35 family friendly prices) Temple Grandin is an American professor of animal science at Colorado State University, consultant to the livestock industry on animal behavior, and autism spokesperson. She is well known as a successful autistic individual who has written extensively on autism. She has capitalized on her ability to see in pictures to understand the sensory perceptions of different species and address their needs. Dr. Grandin will elaborate on her concept of sensory-based thinking that enables her to consult worldwide for diverse groups, including for children on the autism spectrum, research scientists, and pet trainers  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_Grandin  She was the subject of the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning semi-biographical film Temple Grandin starring Claire Danes.
