Position Description

Our internships provide an opportunity for dedicated workers interested in learning more about the political process to enhance their skills in the political realm. By working under the principals of our Communications division, our interns are able to learn about the industry and hone their skills in order to understand what it takes to be successful in politics today.

Strong candidates will have campaign/political experience, be skilled at writing with attention to detail, and should be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Qualified Candidates Should:

  1. Have very strong writing, copy editing, and communication skills.
  2. Have a strong interest in politics and the political process.
  3. Be dependable, flexible, detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently.
  4. Be able to commit at least three months to the internship program.
  5. Be adept at using social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
  6. Possess a proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

 

Interns will work closely with other members of the Communications department and should be prepared to gain skills specific to the political world.

 

Interns will work a minimum of 20 hours/week and receive a stipend of $800/month with $50/month for travel expenses. The internship will last from October 2015 through December 2015. We will be flexible with the specific dates for students who need to return to school prior to the end of the internship.
