[Unicum] Re: Hungarian Language Classes Now Forming

We have some interest in starting a new beginner class over the summer but need two more students before we can begin.  Let me know if you or someone you may know would like more information about joining a ten week class that would meet in the evenings starting in late May and ending in late July or early August.  Classes would be 2 to 2.5 hours a week and taught by a native-born, experience Hungarian language instructor.

Köszönöm,

Rózsa Gábor (Gabe)
Vice Chair, Kossuth Foundation
Language Program Coordinator

Hungarian language classes offered by the Kossuth Foundation in Washington DC are now forming for the summer session.  Classes are being offered at all levels from beginner to advanced taught by native speakers with language teaching experience/training.  Some of the upper level continuation classes from the spring will pick up in April while other classes are planning to start in May.  If you have ever wanted to learn a new language or speak to family back in the Hungary, now is the time to sign up.  Classes are small (4-8 students) so there is a lot of personal attention.  They are held using Zoom so there is no commuting or parking to worry about.  Tuition is $300 for 30 hours of instruction using a highly acclaimed platform developed at the University of Pecs.  The books (Magyar-OK) use the Common European Framework for Languages from A1 to B2 levels.  The books include a text and workbook and come with downloadable audio and grammatical materials.  If interested, click on the link to more information on our website or contact gro...@kossuthfoundation.org for more information.

This movement is an influential national network with unparalleled influence in Washington, DC, in state capitals, and in communities around the country. We are unmatched in our ability to ensure meaningful action on our key issues. We aim to bring people and communities together across racial, geographic, political, religious, economic and other differences toward collective goals instead of dividing us from one another.

Each Regional Campaigns Director will manage programs for approximately 16 states in coordination with state LCV partners and national allies in consultation with the National Campaigns Director. The ideal candidate will be able to implement federal program strategy and collaborate with state LCV partners on state or local priorities, while centering racial justice and equity, with the goal of building a stronger Conservation Voter Movement (CVM) that includes federal, state and local wins.

Re: [Unicum]

You don't have to live in the same country you  have your bank in.  The bank will mail you your statement  at whatever address you give them. Furthermore you need not be a citizen of the country you do your banking in.

Some banks, such as Citibank and Bank of America,  are American but have locatiions in many foreign countries.

Also every bank now offers online statements so you can view your statements on your computer and print out from your computer.

Your real estate agent can and should send you all the documents pertinent to your sale.

Lada, you better get the information you want from a tax attorney instead of asking well-intentioned but non-professionals on this Unicum ListServe before you get into trouble and might even be accused of tax fraud and land in prison.  Don't be pennywise and pound foolish. Spend the money for a tax attorney or you might end up very very sorry. In America people often end up in prison for financial improprieties many years longee than murderers do.  And ignorance of the law is no defense. The I.R.S. does not care whether you innocently made a tax mistake or you deluberately tried to defraud them.
