[Unicum] FIGYELEM! OBJECT OF FREEDOM 1956 An Exhibition

​An Exhibition

 

 

On the eve and in recognition of the 60^th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Freedom Fight the Embassy of Hungary is launching a new initiative entitled 'Objects of Freedom.' The exhibition seeks to commemorate the arrival of the heroes of 1956 to the United States through the collection of personal effects or photos of these effects brought with them from Hungary.

                      

 

The Embassy of Hungary kindly asks that 56ers and descendants of 56ers please send their or their loved one's objects or photos of these belongings along with a short explanation or story of how they arrived in the United States.

 

These objects and photos will be displayed in the form of an exhibition to be held at the Andrew W. Mellon auditorium in October
during our Gala Dinner in Washington, D.C.

A torveny szerint, lsd. a mellekelt dokumentumot, „a több állam
fennhatósága alá vetett magyarság minden tagja és közössége része az
egységes magyar nemzetnek, melynek államhatárok feletti összetartozása
valóság, s egyúttal a magyarok személyes és közösségi önazonosságának
meghatározó eleme"
