As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, we have three days left to mark this special birthday by helping to ensure that Colonel Michael Kováts finally receives the recognition he deserves. Kováts crossed the Atlantic to fight for American independence, helped build America’s first effective cavalry force, and gave his life for liberty on May 11, 1779. Yet for nearly 250 years, his story has remained largely forgotten. Together, we can change that.
