  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and projects.

Who You Are

  • A master organizer with an eagle eye for detail.
  • Skilled at juggling multiple priorities without letting deadlines slip.
  • A clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Experienced in media operations, project management, or similar high-precision roles.

Why Join Us?
This isn't just a logistics role—it's a mission-critical position that keeps our campaigns and creative at the top of their game. You'll work with a passionate, driven team and play a central role in delivering exceptional results.

Compensation

$4500 – $6500 per month depending on experience and qualifications.

·      A health care stipend and a continuing education stipend is included.

·      An additional 3% of compensation is included as payment in lieu of employee retirement contribution.

GALVANIZE: DC Council Campaign

Hello Artists,

Please pardon me as I send along a note that isn't primarily arts related.

After eight years serving as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) here in DC, I have just filed my campaign to run for DC Council At-Large in the Special Election on June 16th.

I've put in thousands of hours over four terms fighting for affordable housing, safe streets, crime reduction and public safety, and opportunities for creatives and entrepreneurs. We are currently at a scary and deadly tipping point with the current federal administration and my city, like other major cities across the country, is at risk of further federal overreach, hate, and violence. I can't sit idle and am looking to extend my work as a Commissioner, taking it citywide.

Here's what I'm asking for. Please take a look at my campaign, online at http://www.EdwardDanielsAtLarge.com

I have just under two months to acquire 3,000 signatures, 250 in small dollar donations, and to meet the $12,000 minimum for the Fair Elections program.

I have plenty of volunteer (canvassers) and paid staff opportunities available for freelancers and am particularly looking for event staff and marketing freelancers.

Thank you!
Edward

GALVANIZE: Book recommendation: "Your Embodied Life"

Hi, Galvanize family!

My dear friend, mover-motivator-dancer-choreographer-creative leader Kelly King, has written a new book: Your Embodied Life: A Field Guide to Joy. Please consider pre-ordering today from B&N.

The book publishes March 24th; but, pre-sales have a huge impact on new authors making best seller lists. I'd love to see Kelly's book make a mark.

About Your Embodied Life

Movement and mindfulness combine to awaken joy, spark curiosity, and deepen people's connection to themselves.

Your Embodied Life is a quick-start guide to cultivating daily joy through simple yet powerful mindfulness and movement practices. Part inspiration, part workbook, and part gentle invitation, it blends storytelling, research, and reflection to support real-life change.

With relatable anecdotes and easy-to-follow prompts, this guide offers a grounded entry point into mindfulness—whether through quick movement breaks, reflective writing, or full-body awareness practices.

Each chapter offers space to pause, breathe, wriggle, and integrate—encouraging a fuller, more joyful way to move through life.

Take a deep breath, wriggle, and begin.

Endorsements

Thanks for your time!

JJ

(Career Progress) Free Integral Coaching (on Zoom) - Saturday, January 31

We've had many attend this event over the past several years. Now it is your turn!

Our coaching school, New Ventures West, is offering the opportunity to receive free coaching as a guest client on Saturday, January 31 ONLINE. You would have the chance to work one-on-one with an experienced professional who is a student in this rigorous year-long program. This is a great way to get some support on a challenging topic or aspiration that you've been wanting to explore, whether personal, professional or something else in nature. It's also a wonderful way to begin or continue your exploration of coaching programs if you have been considering a coaching certification.

This is what the offering from New Ventures West looks like:
You will have the opportunity to:
    • Receive support in developing a new competence, getting unstuck in some aspect of your life, or opening a new possibility for yourself. The topic for the coaching is yours to choose. Topics in the past have included career direction, relationship issues, professional development, or learning a new skill.
    • Explore coaching as a potential professional path. Being a guest client is an excellent way to learn if Integral Coaching is something you would like (and feel called) to develop.

The coaching is available at no charge.  Because this is an important part of the program, we are looking for people who:
    • Have a genuine interest in being coached
    • Are open to revealing part of themselves and hearing a new perspective
    • Can commit to showing up (on time!) and being available for all three scheduled conversations (more on this below)

>>REGISTER HERE<<

What you will need to participate
    • A video-enabled Zoom account (you can use a computer with a webcam, or a mobile phone with a camera - but you must have video. You may not use the call in option.) Please download the Zoom client ahead of time.
    • A reliable internet connection.
    • A quiet space where you will not be disturbed. (Please do not plan to take your computer to the local coffee shop to receive coaching, or plan to be a primary caregiver while trying to be coached, or plan to be driving or in transit.) We recommend you also have headphones with a mic. Regular earbud style headphones with a mic in the wire work well - no need to purchase a fancy headset.
    • A topic for coaching.

Thank you!

PS - As a thank you for your participation, you will receive a discount code for $100 off any of our courses.

Please feel free to forward this opportunity to friends, family, and other list-servs.

Hello,

On behalf of the Helicon Ball Committee, I would like to thank you for your support of the Helicon Ball and our initiatives with our Helicon language schools and our efforts in supporting and developing our younger generation. The Ball is a great way to celebrate and honour our past while also enjoying an elegant evening with old and new friends. The arrival of the years debutantes is always a special occasion and the support that they receive from their escorts and families is amazing. These young ladies will be talking about their debut night for decades to come. Their parents will also be talking about how proud they were to have been a part of such a special evening.

Hopefully we can count on your support and attendance again this year on Saturday, March 28th 2026 at The Old Mill Guildhall Ballroom in Toronto. In order to get the hall minimums in on time, we are asking for people to please return their orders and pay for their tickets and donations by our first ticket deadline of January 26th which is the last day to guarantee your entrance into our early bird draw for several great prizes. If, for any reason you cannot attend the Ball but would still like to support our young people, you can think about donating your ticket to one or more of our younger attendees who might otherwise not have been able to afford to come. It's a great way to pay it forward and ensure the future of the Helicon Ball.

Orders can be placed on Eventbrite with credit card (they have service fees) or for no fees you can e-transfer to heliconpayments@gmail.com - info on our website.

Thank you again for your support, we look forward to seeing you March 28th 2026.

Sincerely,

Tom Gauder and the 2026 Helicon Ball Committee.
