Re: [Unicum] Hungarian Passports for children

Dear Attila,

Yes, you can totally get their passports, very easy. You'll need the following documents: your birth certificate, marriage certificate or divorce papers, if you were married here in the US, they will need to get that registered in Hungary first, which they will do for you. Same for a divorce. It helps if you have these documents translated and notarized but they can help you with that also, in case the documents happen to be from Hungary. After that's done is when they can start the process for your children. For them you'll need their birth certificate, they will tell you what other Hungarian documents they will receive along with their passports. Some of these documents are optional, like a Hungarian ID card, stuff like that.

You need to make an appointment once you have all these documents. They will take photos of them at the Embassy and you can pay by credit card, I'm sure you remember the process.

I think that's it.

Good luck!

With Regards,
Orsolya

HI
Some years back I got my Hungarian passport.  I recently came to understand that I can get my kids Hungarian passports too.  Has anyone done that, please share any advice or instructions that you may have.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Atilla
