As many of you may know, one of the greatest champions of Black artists in the DMV is retiring from the University of Maryland after decades of service. 

I invite you to join us in celebrating Professor Scot Reese and his 30 years of extraordinary service to the University of Maryland and the Black arts community of Washington, D.C. As a mentor, visionary, and fierce advocate for Black artists, Scot has uplifted generations through his artistry, leadership, and unwavering commitment to equity.
