Kossuth Foundation is inviting you to a presentation: "The Myth of Experts: The Inquiry in the Trianon Peace Preparation and in Peacemaking, 1917-1919" by Tibor Glant, Ph.D., Associate Professor, North American Department, Institute of English and American Studies, Debrecen University (Hungary).
Date: Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Place: Kossuth House, 2001 Massachusetts Ave, NW Washington, DC, 20036
As part of our lecture series titled, "The Ups and Downs of 100 Years of US-Hungary Relations," Prof. Glant will discuss America's contributions to the Trianon peace treaty. President Wilson's promise to end all wars rested upon his commitment to a scientific peace. He convened group of experts called 'the Inquiry' whose members later played a key part in drafting the Versailles treaties, including the Trianon treaty itself.
