(Career Progress) Managing Director, New Civic Leadership Program

Civic Nation seeks a Managing Director to lead the team responsible for designing, launching, and implementing a new initiative focused on building the next generation of civic leaders across the country. The Managing Director will manage high level relationships and partnerships, and oversee programmatic development and execution of the new initiative. They will identify best practices for leadership development, and oversee the program's evaluation strategies.

ABOUT CIVIC NATION'S NEW INITIATIVE ON CIVIC LEADERSHIP

Civic Nation will launch a new leadership initiative focused on building a dynamic network of local changemakers who will strengthen civic infrastructure in communities across the country.  This new program will aspire to reinvent civic life for the 21st century by cultivating the next generation of local leaders working to increase civic collaboration and engagement in their communities.  It will support and celebrate innovative, local civic engagement efforts; trains and empower leaders on the ground; and fosters a vibrant network of leaders and institutions working to reimagine how people work together to tackle challenges at the local level.  The initiative will be part of a number of initiatives at Civic Nation– a national, nonpartisan 501c3 organization with the mission to empower individuals, companies, institutions, and organizations to create a more inclusive, equitable America.

The formation of this new leadership initiative is grounded in the belief that leadership development is the most catalytic thing we can do to affect long term change.  By investing in leadership development, this program will create a network of community leaders who bring people together and demonstrate impact around important community priorities, while also building up and investing in other leaders around them.
