[Unicum] Award-winning Hungarian film, The Citizen (Az Állampolgár) will screen at the annual African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADIFF) in Washington, DC on Saturday, August 18 at 6:00pm at the George Washington University (GWU)

The Award-winning Hungarian film, The Citizen (Az Állampolgár) will be screened at the annual African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADIFF) in Washington, DC on Saturday, August 18 at 6:00pm at the George Washington University’s (GWU) Marvin Center Amphitheater.

 

The DC African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADIFF) – DC will hold its 12th Anniversary between August 17-19, 2018 at the George Washington University (GWU). The weekend will feature 16 films that will take audiences in and out of the United States – including 8 films directed by women and 14 DC premieres. Directed by Roland Vranik, The Citizen tells the story of Wilson, a middle-aged African political refugee wanting to become a Hungarian citizen. The story follows Wilson’s adventures in finding his place in Hungarian society, at his work and his love life. The film had very successful theatrical release in New York with particularly good reviews and film awards.
