[Unicum] CANCELLATION: INVITATION/MEGHIVO!! GROUP DISCOUNT for HUNGARIAN UNICUM MEMBERS from WAGNER KRISZTINA a.k.a CHRISTIE STARLEY

Sorry to disappoint those of you who have telephoned or e-mailed me to let me know what date you'd be coming to my performance (this is the last weekend: Friday, July 15th; Saturday, July 16th; Sunday July 17th) but I did not not rejoin the cast for this last week.

I belong to the professional stage actors' union called Actors' Equity Association which all Broadway actors, among others, belong to. (In addition I'm a member of the other professional unions: Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists). The playwright will not conform to the contractual, including payment, provisions of Actors' Equity.

Therefore I removed the 18 items of set design I'd contributed (all set design except furniture) is mine and I had 4 colorful (everyone else's costumes, male and female are black, gray or a combination except for one) costumes custom-designed for the two principal characters I portrayed in last week's productions: First Lady Rachel Jackson, wife of President Andrew Jackson, and Deborah Ingham, wife of the Secretary of Treasury.

Consequently an entire scene I was in had to be removed from the play (a very dramatic death scene) for the First Lady and my comedic lines for the second character.

I regret any inconvenience to you.

Cordially:

Christie (Wagner Krisztina)

In this political dramedy based on the true story of the famous "Petticoat Affair" during Andrew Jackson's presidency, a group of determined and razor-tongued Cabinet wives brings the government to its knees. Snappy repartée with lavish period costumes. This play by prolific Anthony Gallo is a treat for the eyes and ears. Directed by 40-year veteran, Beatrix Whitehall.
