David for Ward 1 Schools is seeking to bring communities together to improve Ward 1 schools. David Do, the candidate, has been a resident in Ward 1 for over four years and has been in service to Washington D.C. since his arrival working for two D.C. Mayors and making sure that the Ward 1 neighborhoods became a better place to live. David believes that the missing variable in the equation to fix schools are communities. David will strive to bring that focus to our schools as he seeks to become an activist leader on the Board of Education. David for Ward 1 Schools is seeking a full time Field Director, with excellent organizational and leadership skills, to help direct campaign volunteers and field strategy for the candidate. Our field director will lead the candidate's voter targeting goals and will perform tasks that include but are not limited to:
· Forming and implementing a comprehensive and effective field plan;
· Managing and expanding a field team to execute his or her field plan;
· Meeting and exceeding set goals for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and overall outreach;
· Managing field program budget and logistics with senior members of the campaign
Our Field Director must be dependable, flexible, and able to multi-task and work independently. Commitment to policies regarding schools as well as a good sense of humor is preferred.
The Field Director will receive paid compensation for his or her work from August 21st, until November 5th. A bonus will be provided upon excellent performance.

David for Ward 1 Schools is seeking a full- or part-time intern with excellent organizational and writing skills to assist the communications and outreach team. Our intern will assist the campaign staff with a variety of writing and field projects, including but not limited to:
· Each intern will be assigned to lead several precincts in Ward 1.
· The intern will be responsible for canvassing and connecting with voters in their lead precincts. They will also set-up a campaign strategy with the direct supervision of the Field Director.
· There will also be opportunities for the intern to participate in various political events in DC.
Our intern must be dependable, flexible, and able to multi-task and work independently. Commitment to policies regarding schools as well as a good sense of humor is preferred.
The hours of the position are flexible, depending on the availability of the intern.
