Er.. uh.. shoot. I emailed too soon. I'm going to be out on Susie-Q a little earlier at 4:00, so might not be able to take out Rebecca at the right time to pick up all the crew. :/ But if you haven't already, volunteer to take out Rebecca! If no one can take out Rebecca at the right time, I might see if I can join the fun on Rebecca with some late-comers. In other news, please note that we just repainted the woodwork on Rebecca...

[SCOW] Raft-up TONIGHT!! Need a skipper for Rebecca!!

Greetings Mateys,   We need a skipper for Rebecca tonight for the raftup-- should be a fantastic night on the water with light winds and a large collection of fantastic food, such as caviar and shrimp and filet mignon, except not quite like that, but the company and ambiance will be stellar and there have been rumors of the so-called....how should we say.... "Blue Moon"?  I'm more of a Yuengling guy but...

RE: [SCOW] charter a 33'to 40' sailboat

I've used both Haven Charters out of Rock Hall and Let's Go Cruising out of Annapolis. Haven Charters has a limited number of individual older boats, at cheaper prices, and it's a bit out of the way. LGC has brand new boats, great locations, better support, but pricier. LGC also has a location out of Solomon's if you are looking to venture further South, saves you a day coming and going from Annapolis. Tom Beachem -----Original...

Re: [SCOW] charter a 33'to 40' sailboat

I've worked with Haven Charters out of Rock Hall, MD a few times in the past. You can look at their charter boats on their website: <http://www.havencharters.com/> They're a bit cheaper than most places in Annapolis, in my experience, although it's a longer drive if you're heading out from DC/NoVA. -James On 8/31/2012 10:34 AM, Wolfgang Schaefer wrote: > A friend of mine wants to charter a 33'to 40' sailboat on the...

Thom,Thanks for the great article.  I just got to reading it this evening.  I'll have to look for the footage of that last race in Venice to see what the pile-up looked like.  In watching the highlights from the racing in San Francisco, it was nice to see the circles around the turning marks, the lay lines, and the distance between boats all right there nicely illustrated on the the screen.
