About Progressive Turnout Project:

Progressive Turnout Project (PTP) is the largest voter contact organization in the country. Our mission: Get Democrats to vote. We design, test, and execute specialized voter turnout programs targeting inconsistent Democratic voters in the most competitive elections up and down the ballot. Since 2015, our trained Field staff, Fellows, and volunteers have made more than 59 million voter contact attempts across 39 states. PTP is grassroots funded, with more than 2.2 million unique donors and an average contribution of $17.39.

Position Summary:

Progressive Turnout Project seeks applicants for our Language Accessibility Director role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full translation needs across the organization from English to Spanish, both written and spoken, connecting staff, partners, and voters who speak languages other than English to each other, and managing staff. They will need to build out the Language Accessibility Department, including hiring, training, and managing staff who are responsible for translation within our Field program, as well as our Spanish Language Hotline.

During the 2022 election cycle, we will have over 59 Field offices in the seven Senate battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin running our direct voter contact programs. Every community that our offices are embedded in will have Spanish speakers on the team and voters who exclusively speak languages other than English. The Language Accessibility Department will need to support all staff to communicate with voters and make their work more effective.

This position is eligible for benefits, including employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, FSA, 401(k), student loan repayment assistance, public transportation stipend (for HQ-based staff), paid time off, and paid holidays.
