KONCERT A GYERMEKEKÉRT

A Children's Nutrition Fund (CNF) jótékonysági koncertet szervez mélyszegénységben élő magyar gyermekek életének, egészségének védelmében.

A bevételeket a CNF magyarországi testvérszervezetének "Szegények Patikája" akciójára ajánlja fel, melynek keretében tíz halmozottan hátrányos helyzetű községben a létminimum alatt élő családok gyermekei ingyenesen kapnak gyógyszereket.

A koncert szólistája az 1998-ban született kiváló tehetségű hegedűs, Juliana Layendecker, aki zenei tanulmányait hat éves korában kezdte. Juliana 2010-2012-ben az American Youth Concert Orchestra első hegedűse volt. 2012 októberében első helyezést ért el a luzerne-i (NY) Nemzetközi zenei központ versenyén. 2013-ban meghívták ugyanide, hogy a barátaival kiegészített családi kamarazenekarral játssza el Vivaldi Négy évszak című művének Ősz tételét. Jelenleg az Amerikai Ifjúsági Filharmonia koncertmestere.

Julianát zongorán édesapja, Dennis M. Layendecker, a George Mason egyetem zenei tanszékének (School of Music) igazgatója kíséri.

Denis M. Layendecker korábban az Egyesült Államok Légierejének ezredeseként a haderőnem zenekarának karnagya és főzeneigazgatója volt, egyebek között hozzá tartozott a Fehér Ház zenei eseményeinek irányítása.

A koncerten Fritz Kreisler, Bartók Béla, Johannes Brahms, Szergej Rahmanyinov és Vittorio Monti művei csendülnek fel.

CONCERT FOR CHILDREN IN NEED

May 15, 2015

The Children's Nutrition Fund (CNF) is sponsoring a concert to support starving and malnourished children in Hungary.

The proceeds of this event will be used for the drive, "The Pharmacy of the Poor". In the frame work of this program the children of ten Hungarian families, living in the countryside under exceptionally deep poverty will receive medication free of charge.

The soloist of the concert is Juliana Layendecker. She was born into a musical family in 1998 as the youngest of six children. She started violin at the age of six. From 2010-2012 she was co-concert master of the AYCO (American Youth Concert Orchestra). In 2012 Juliana won 1st prize in the Junior and Senior sessions of the International Music Center of Lucerne, New York. In 2013, Juliana played the "Autumn" of Vivaldi's Four Seasons with the Friends and Family Chamber Orchestra. Juliana is currently concert master of the American Youth Philharmonic. Juliana will be accompanied on the piano by her father, Dr. Dennis M. Layendecker, Director of the George Mason University School of Music.

Prior to his appointment to George Mason Dr. Layendecker served 26 years on active duty with the United States Air Force as a band commander, conductor, artistic director, public spokesperson, educator, and diplomat for the Air Force at home and abroad.

For this concert the musicans will play pieces by Fritz Kreisler, Béla Bartók , Johannes Brahms, Szergej Rahmanyinov and Vittorio Monti. Dr. Layendecker will guide us through the music with commentaries and remarks about the composers and their masterpieces.
