(Career Progress) JOB: Fight for gender justice in a post-Roe world (Apply by 7/4)

Given the terrible Supreme Court ruling last week on Roe, I wanted to send a reminder about a great, senior-level opportunity I'm recruiting for to fight for women's rights and gender justice.

Specifically, I'm helping UltraViolet find a Managing Director of Campaigns to mentor, oversee and grow a team of digital-first email campaigners, provide strategic leadership for their campaigns, and serve as a leader in an organization working to build durable power for the gender justice movement.

The role is fully remote within the U.S., and UltraViolet in an all-remote organization. The starting salary range is $115-135k or $130-150k, plus a home office stipend based on the cost of living in your location (see the note below about salary range).

The priority application deadline is July 4 (next Monday) at 11:59pm PT, so if you're interested in this role you should apply for it ASAP.

UltraViolet is a national advocacy organization that drives feminist cultural and political change. Through people power and strategic advocacy, UltraViolet works to improve the lives of women of all identities and backgrounds by disrupting patriarchy and creating a cost for sexism.

UltraVi
olet works across a broad spectrum of interconnected issues that impact women's lives, including violence against women, disinformation, health care, economic security, reproductive rights, and racial justice. In all of their work, they center frontline communities disparately impacted by sexist policies and practices, especially Black women, Indigenous women, women of color, people with disabilities, low-income women, immigrants, survivors, and LGBTQ+ people.

This role would be a good fit for a skilled manager with deep expertise leading sophisticated digital-first email and earned media campaigns in an advocacy context, sharp strategic instincts and both a personal commitment to antiracist feminism and the ability to bring a strong antiracist and intersectional feminist lens to all aspects of their work.

This is a high-level strategic role in a digital advocacy organization that primarily uses sophisticated email campaigns to communicate with, organize and activate its activist base. In addition, the role focuses on managing and providing mentorship and strategic guidance to a number of deeply experienced digital campaigners who are already good at what they do.

So o
ne thing I did want to pull out is that significant email advocacy experience of a certain scale and sophistication is key (and far more important and necessary for this role than non-digital advocacy experience, non-email digital experience, email fundraising experience or electoral email experience).

If you have questions about the role, you're interested in applying to it or know someone else who'd be a good fit, please let me know.

*Note about the salary range: While this role is specced out at with a salary range of $115-135k, exceptionally qualified applicants with 8+ years of relevant experience including at least 4 years of management experience may be considered for a more senior (VP-level) version of this role and a salary range of $130,000 to $150,000. That said, they're generally pessimistic that they'll hire someone at that level because it's such a senior leadership role in the organization. So if you are only interested in applying for the more senior version of the role, please get in touch with me before applying so I can tell you more.
