As a US citizen going to Hungary to teach in August, my sponsor has provided a contract, an invitation, photos of me, my vaccination card, other documents to the Police Department that governs Liszt Ferenc (#18). At first they said they would grant me a QR code if they approved. Instead, they sent a 5 page document that has some lines in it that say I am free to enter Hungary without quarantine.

I believe it is only this Police Department that knows what needs to be done. My sponsor said they were very nice.

Where are you all getting the latest updates from re travel? The Embassy site shows no changes in the requirements for US citizens.

My friend who entered today ( flew from San Francisco) was not asked about anything, no test , no vedettsegi , no American vaccination card , nothing , just walked in

Also heard that Gulyas spoke about new rules today
