Congratulations to Team Tartan for their second place finish in last Saturdays regatta. Which was being contested in what turned out to be survival conditions. Some of the boats racing in the PHRF (keel boat) fleet were in distress. One boat nearly sank and sent out a mayday which fellow racers responded to. Many of the smaller boats capsized. I was racing Runneth Over and at times was in close proximity to team tartan's Rebecca. There was a crowd aboard Rebecca. But over the din of wind noise and voices I recognized our Commodores voice coaching the crew around marks and on to the proper course. Kudos to Chris and his team of sailors who refused to loose. We also owe him a thank you for putting together Team Tartan and a Dream Team board which could act fast buy our new cruiser and sell Topaz. Without the losing the deal.
Thank Chris his team and Board Members and BAC Chair Kevin

PS Runneth Over succumbed to multiple gear failures and had to retire from the regatta. Regrettably my first time in 19 years.
