    *OFA, Virginia is hiring Deputy Field Organizers! Deputy Field Organizers
    (DFOs) are the face of
    Organizing for America in communities across Virginia, working to advance
    President Obama's and the Democrats' agenda and grow the grassroots
    movement for electoral success in 2012.
     
    Responsibilities
    The primary responsibility of a DFO is to assist Field Organizers recruit,
    manage, and train volunteers to organize their communities and
    neighborhoods into teams that register, persuade, and motivate voters
    through making phone calls, registering voters and canvassing. Their
    responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting Field Organizers
    develop a plan to organize their turf based on its unique characteristics;
    identify and cultivate volunteer team leaders; plan and execute events and
    trainings; build relationships with community leaders; and ensure data
    integrity. DFOs report directly to their Field Organizer.
     
    Requirements
    • Organizing mindset and can-do attitude
    • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and creatively
    problem-solve
    • Strong interpersonal skills and team player
    • Attention to detail
