The fourth annual D.C. Entrepreneurship Week (DCEW) is a five-day interactive event series that focuses on revitalizing and strengthening local entrepreneurship.

Hosted at 1776 and DLA Piper, DCEW was designed for local entrepreneurs by local entrepreneurs to Connect, Collaborate and Create.

DCEW strives to help entrepreneurs get past the breakthrough point and addresses some of the most difficult transitions for startups. DCEW takes entrepreneurs and investors to new heights by providing meaningful access to resources and ideas. Registrants will gain valuable knowledge and learn from each other and industry innovators to help navigate the course from start-up to empire.

The week will build relationships, networks and develop ideas to strengthen the local entrepreneurship culture while answer pressing 'real-world' questions in an intimate setting from the business savvy who have already made their mark.  Attendees will walk away with hands on knowledge and industry specific resources to enable them to grow their own opportunities.

Through a series of panel discussions, pitch sessions, roundtables and forums, registrants will gain a mass of access to like-minded people in the field. Entrepreneurs who wish to pitch may to do by applying online at www.dcew.org

Pitch sessions will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors to make direct and relevant connections with various Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors. Each pitch will last 5 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions from the investors. Past DCEW events have resulted in funding for numerous companies pitched. Entrepreneurs have had an extraordinary opportunity to get funding and receive advice and opportunities from both local and national Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors. Contestants will be chosen on qualities such as, the management and team makeup, milestones and revenue and funding status, and uniqueness.

Tickets are available for purchase at www.dcew.org – an unlimited week pass is $99 or attend one session for $20 (to free).

Round table discussions and pitch sessions are capped at 30/40 people. Registrants need to sign up for each session they wish to attend. A full and updated schedule is also available on the website at http://dcew.org/schedule/

Greg's List DC readers can use promo code "SilverStrategy" to sign up for individual events free of charge.
