Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is the national umbrella organization for the nation's leading network of women's health care providers, educators, and advocates, serving women, men, teens and families. Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) is the advocacy and political arm of PPFA. For over 100 years, Planned Parenthood has done more than any other organization in the United States to improve women's health and safety, prevent unintended pregnancies, and advance the right and ability of individuals and families to make informed and responsible health care decisions.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund seek a dynamic and effective individual to oversee the daily execution of the Strategic Partnerships team. Reporting to the Vice President, Government Relations & Public Policy, the National Director will manage and lead the Strategic Partnerships team and to design and direct Planned Parenthood's strategy on intersectional priority issue areas with national and local partner organizations. This position includes the management of team members, oversight over the team budget, development strategies and implementation of team processes. The role is based in Washington, DC but currently working remotely.

The successful candidate will have experience managing people and projects, experience effectively managing and growing external relationships as well as the ability to quickly and effectively prioritize projects within a fast-paced environment. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their expertise in these key areas:

EXCELS IN POLITICAL, POWER-BUILDING ANALYSIS AND STRATEGY: strong political analysis and ability to create strategies that build power for / with partners, constituencies, and movements in service of progressive wins. Awareness and previous experience of issue advocacy campaigns is preferred.

RELATIONSHIPS ORIENTED, PARTNERSHIPS STRATEGIST: Existing and strong partner relationships in the progressive, SRHR / RJ, and/or political sector. Demonstrated ability to work, strategize, and amplify the work of partners; show appreciation for mutually beneficial partnership relationships; drive shared goals and strategies.

EXCELLENT TEAM MANAGER AND COACH:
 Experience leading and managing BIPOC teams while defining clear goals and measures of success, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring high performance and engagement of team members. Familiarity with managing team budgets. Demonstrated experience managing a large team with a lens and awareness of equity and inclusion.

EFFECTIVE, PERSUASIVE COMMUNICATOR AND PROBLEM SOLVER: Noteable strategic communications proficiency in communicating strategy, brand, and mission externally and internally, and ability to do so with shifting public narratives; ability to serve as a spokesperson; ability to persuade others.

DEMONSTRATED APPLIED DEI SKILLS:
 Strong commitment to and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion and the intersection with health equity and social justice. Demonstrated this commitment in the implementation of work.
